Oluyemi SHONUBI
Mrs. Oluyemi Shonubi started her professional career with Shell Petroleum Development Corporation, Port Harcourt, Rivers State in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Intercontinental Bank Plc. where she obtained diverse experience managing various financial products such as rights issues, initial public offerings and private placements, utilised to raise capital in the corporate finance department of the bank. During her 5-year stint with Wema Bank, she evaluated and structured various loan transactions, including syndications, leases, LPO and warehouse finance and multi-credit Facilities for bank customers in several sectors of the economy.
A brief period of exemplary project development with Ventures & Trusts Limited from 2000-2001 led to her appointment as the Project Development/General Manager of Persianas Nigeria Limited, the promoter and developer of the first international standard mall in the West African sub-region, The Palms Shopping Mall, Lagos State. Under this project, Mrs. Oluyemi Shonubi was responsible for the entire development process and coordination of the project, which was formally commissioned in April 2006.
Mrs. Oluyemi Shonubi re-joined Ventures & Trusts in 2006, with responsibility for providing financial advisory, project finance and project management services for real estate developments. Select projects conceptualised include the development of an affordable housing estate (1,026 homes) in Obosomase, Accra, Ghana and a mixed-use development (retail, hotel, commercial and residential) in Victoria Island, Lagos State.
Mrs. Oluyemi Shonubi has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Lagos State, Akoka, Lagos State.
She serves on the Building and Infrastructure Committee of the Institute of Directors Nigeria, the Grange School Limited/Gte and ProMaCon Project Management Foundation. She is currently the Chief Executive Officer of SAVANT.
